Naomi Neuwirth has been practicing psychotherapy for twenty years, having received her master's in social work from Columbia University in 1978 and child psychoanalytic training from the Postgraduate Center, New York in 1984.

Ms. Neuwirth returned to school and received her MFA in writing from Sarah Lawrence College in 2003.

Ms. Neuwirth is also a consultant, a member of various professional organizations and a community volunteer. She lives in West Hartford, Connecticut, with her husband and three children.
